Kevin and Jeannine's invitation to their planned wedding activities in Goa included suggested attire for the various events scattered over the several days surrounding the "main event." Included at several points was the option to wear something Indian, a kurta, shalamar kamese, sherwani or sari.
On our first trip in 2008, Heidi had purchased a shalamar kamese for our daughter Alissa as a gift. She'd also had an outfit made up for herself while we were there. She was all set, then, to take advantage of the chance to wear them all again (as long as she could fit into the one given Alissa - which she did).
Lee thought the whole idea presented the opportunity to find something he could wear as well. When he checked on the "Net, the possibilities presented online proved daunting - so many choices; so much glitter; so much flash!
He eventually emailed Kevin and Jeannine with photographs of some he thought might work and ended up with three outfits: one to wear at a dinner hosted by the bride's parents; a second, for the evening reception following the wedding; and the third, to have on hand for our tour afterward.
And here they are! They all fit perfectly well, and he's looking forward to wearing each and every one on the appropriate occasion ...
